Dear Consultee

Notification of Formal Public Consultation on the Clifton upon Teme Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan (Regulation 14 Town and Country Planning, England, Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012)

I am writing to advise you that the Clifton upon Teme Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has been published for consultation by Clifton upon Teme Parish Council.
The Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan has been prepared by a steering group of local parish councillors and interested residents on behalf of the Parish Council, building on extensive public consultation and engagement since 2014 and informal public consultation on the emerging Draft Plan in Spring 2016.

The consultation period runs for 8 weeks from 4th July 2016 until 5pm Friday 26th August 2016.

The Draft Plan and other supporting documents can be viewed and downloaded from the Neighbourhood Development Planposter website: http://clifton-upon-teme-pc.org.uk. Please note that, although the formal consultation period starts on 4th July, all relevant documents are available on the Neighbourhood Plan area of the website for viewing and downloading immediately.

Hard copies of the Neighbourhood Development Plan can be viewed in the following locations at normal opening times:

  • The Village Stores,
  • The Lion Inn,
  • The New Inn and
  • The Village Hall

Hard copies of the Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan also will be provided on request from Helen Winer, Steering Group Chair (see contact details below).

A Representation Form is provided for comments, but the Parish Council also welcomes comments by email or in writing.

Following the public consultation process on the Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan, the Plan will be amended and submitted to Malvern Hills District Council together with supporting documentation, including a Basic Conditions Statement and Consultation Statement setting out who has been consulted, how the consultation has been undertaken and how the representations received have informed the Plan.

Please note that names and addresses of respondents, along with comments, will be published in the Consultation Statement.

Malvern Hills District Council will then re-consult, before the Plan is subjected to an Examination by an Independent Examiner.  Once any further amendments have been made the Plan will be subjected to a local Referendum, and then Made by Malvern Hills District Council and used to determine planning applications in Clifton upon Teme Parish.

If you require any further information, please contact the Parish Clerk at the contact details provided above.

Yours faithfully,
