Road Closure B4197 Berrow Green from 7th Feb for 6 weeks

Letter from Severn Trent Water…..

Dear Customer

We’re improving your supply of wonderful water…

Every so often, we need to replace old water pipes. That’s because the risk of leaks and bursts
increases as the years pass – and we’re really keen to avoid this. We’re therefore going to
replace some of the water mains on a section of the B4197 (between Collins Green and Berrow
Green) with some brand-new ones.

Important information
Our team will start week commencing 7 February 2022 and will take six weeks to complete. The
work will start outside the Severn Trent, Service Reservoir at Collins Green and will progress
north for 520 metres.
Due to the location of the water pipes and how narrow the road is, we’ll need to close the road
to through traffic. If you live within the closure, access to your property will be maintained at all
times.
There will be an official diversion in place that will be suitable for vehicles of all sizes. The signs
will divert traffic around the working area using the A44 and the B4204.We apologise for any
delays this may cause on your daily commute. Please allow for additional time on your journeys.
Thank you for bearing with us.
We fully appreciate that it can be a pain to have this work happening near you – but please be
assured that we (along with our contract partner On Site) will do everything we can to minimise
any disruption.

Will my water supply be affected?
If we plan to interrupt your water supply, we’ll notify you in advance with a card stating the date
and the earliest start and latest end time of the interruption.
During or after the work, there’s a small chance your water may appear discoloured. This is
nothing to worry about and will quickly go back to normal.

For further information, please visit
our website www.stwater.co.uk/discolouration.
